Amazing encounter with the peoples and cultures of China. Harmony Bridge curated an adventurous tour that married the elements of people, their material culture and their geography. Our trip highlighted what is well known to those outside of China, such as the Great Wall. The Forbidden City and Peking Duck—all found in or near Beijing. But we also explored the beautiful and culturally diverse treasures found in the western side of the country such as Kunming in the Yunnan Province. The team at Harmony Bridge arranged for tours from local university professors and students through outdoor markets, where we tasted the plethora of fruits, meats and mushrooms. We also had a meaningful demonstration by local college students on the heritage and presentation of tea. To top it all off, we explored the beauty of the vast country via train and some hiking in the mountains of the Yunnan Province. We explored the exquisitely preserved old towns of Lijiang and Dali. It was more than a taste of China, it was an all encompassing experience that should not be missed.

We visited beautiful places in China in a short period of time. The tour company really tried to accommodate us with a tour guide that can speak both English and Chinese and made us feel comfortable if we needed to ask about anything. Nina was the best tour guide for our group. The hotels were great. We would love to come back to China and explore more!

Our journey with Harmony Bridge was life-changing. Our personal tour guide helped us to explore hidden villages and engage with local traditions. Thanks to Harmony Bridge, we discovered Yunnan’s best-kept secrets. As a young child, climbing to the top of Snow Mountain was amazing! The Yunnan people were so nice and friendly. The food was the best— I loved every bite!

Harmony Bridge took into consideration all of our requests of the kind of places that we would be interested in and the amount of walking we would want to do. They also took us to restaurants with authentic cuisine, but not so unusual that we were afraid to eat it. They were flexible when we needed to rest, but had us visiting many, various sites every day. I think everyone on our trip said this was so much more than we even expected. Everything was included in the original pricing, and there were no surprises. The guides they hired for tours are also very good.
