Harmony Bridge Travel will take you on adventures you will never forget. China is not easy to get around so it was amazing to have a team to take us to experience the best spots while we were there. China has so much to offer - they will make sure that you don't miss a thing!

Harmony Bridge took into consideration all of our requests of the kind of places that we would be interested in and the amount of walking we would want to do. They also took us to restaurants with authentic cuisine, but not so unusual that we were afraid to eat it. They were flexible when we needed to rest, but had us visiting many, various sites every day. I think everyone on our trip said this was so much more than we even expected. Everything was included in the original pricing, and there were no surprises. The guides they hired for tours are also very good.

Thanks to Harmony Bridge, we discovered Yunnan’s best-kept secrets. As a young child, climbing to the top of Snow Mountain was amazing! The Yunnan people were so nice and friendly. The food was the best— I loved every bite!

We visited beautiful places in China in a short period of time. The tour company really tried to accommodate us with a tour guide that can speak both English and Chinese and made us feel comfortable if we needed to ask about anything. Nina was the best tour guide for our group. The hotels were great. We would love to come back to China and explore more!

Our journey with Harmony Bridge was life-changing. Our personal tour guide helped us to explore hidden villages and engage with local traditions. We had no idea how welcoming the people of Yunnan would be. Our eyes were opened to a side of China we hadn’t known. The flavors we experienced were delightful, and now we hold a profound respect for the culture and people of China. We hope to return someday and do another tour with Harmony Bridge.

Be part of the team… Be a positive male role model during the FIFA World Cup! From the football pitch to fan zones, and everywhere you go – you can set the example of how to show: 🤗 Care 🤍 Empathy and 🫂 Support Together, we can protect children and youth from sexual exploitation. 👉 https://bit.ly/WeProtectChildren #CareAndShare #WeProtectChildren

From stadiums to accommodation, transport to restaurants… We’re part of the team. Big movements of people increase risks of sexual exploitation of children. But, when we stand together as one team, we become a powerful force - protecting children. 👉 https://bit.ly/WeProtectChildren #CareAndShare #WeProtectChildren

We don’t just visit China, we have access to the rhythms of everyday life here. An afternoon in a neighborhood mahjong room isn’t a tour stop. It’s part of how people connect, relax, and spend time together. This is the side of China that comes from relationships, trust, and time on the ground. And it’s often where the most meaningful moments happen. #Kunming #lifeinchina #CulturalTravel #mahjong

We’re on the same team! We all have a pivotal role to play in protecting children from sexual exploitation at the FIFA World Cup. 🥅 Goalkeepers: Restaurants, bars, hotel and accommodation staff making sure children are safe ⚽ Defenders: Airline, taxi, train or bus staff staying alert 🏃‍♂️ Midfielders: Vendors watching for warning signs in stadiums and public spaces 🎯 Strikers: All of us ready to report suspicious behaviour Trust your instincts - if something feels wrong – speak up 👉 https://bit.ly/WeProtectChildren #CareAndShare #WeProtectChildren

#WeProtectChildren has launched. The FIFA World Cup 2026 will bring millions of fans together for the sport they love. But major events can also put children at risk of sexual exploitation. That's why we need you—travellers and businesses—to take action to keep children safe. Be part of the team protecting children 👉 https://bit.ly/WeProtectChildren

I love this list. The New York Times just named its 52 Places to Go in 2026, and of all of China, they chose Yunnan. If you’ve ever wondered why this corner of Southwest China feels different, this is why. Mountain landscapes, deep cultural traditions, incredible biodiversity, and a pace of travel that still allows for real connection. It’s not flashy. It’s meaningful. Seeing Yunnan recognized alongside places like Nepal, Costa Rica, and the Canadian Rockies feels like a quiet but powerful nod to destinations that reward curiosity and respect. If Yunnan has been on your radar, this might be your sign. #NYT52Places #YunnanChina #TravelInspiration #GoDeeper #MeaningfulTravel

I’m getting ready for CoNTAct ’26, a tour operator retreat hosted by NTA, the National Tour Association, and I wanted to share why this matters to you. CoNTAct isn’t about big trade-show noise. It's about slowing down, building real relationships, and co-creating better travel experiences behind the scenes. This is where tour operators collaborate, swap ideas, and design itineraries that are more thoughtful, more personal, and better for the places you visit. One photo is from the last conference, cowboy hat and boots paired with traditional Chinese clothing. The other is with Mr. Luo, my favorite tailor, preparing for CoNTAct the next round of fusion that’s undeniably Texas and unmistakably China. That same approach carries into the trips we design: thoughtful, well-connected, and deeply rooted in place, never generic or rushed. What happens at gatherings like this directly shapes the care, access, and authenticity you experience when you travel with us. More coming soon. #CoNTAct26 #MeaningfulTravel #TravelWithPurpose #CulturalConnection

Today is #WearBlueDay, observed as National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. I’m wearing blue here in Lijiang Old Town, a place shaped by centuries of trade, movement, and cultural exchange. Human trafficking thrives in the unseen spaces, the cracks where vulnerability, isolation, or instability go unnoticed. Awareness is one of the simplest and most powerful ways we can help close those gaps. This month, I’m proud to stand with We Are PACT and Red Sand Project in recognizing the vulnerabilities children face and committing to prevention before exploitation begins. No child should fall through the cracks, anywhere in the world. #WearBlueDay #NationalHumanTraffickingPreventionMonth #FillInTheCracks #ProtectAllChildren #WeArePACT #RedSandProject

January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month. We all have cracks. We all have vulnerabilities. But no child should ever fall through them. Traffickers exploit unseen gaps, loneliness, instability, the need for safety or belonging. Prevention starts when communities notice those vulnerabilities early and respond with awareness, care, and protection. This month, Harmony Bridge Travel stands with We Are PACT and Red Sand Project to help fill in the cracks and prevent the exploitation and trafficking of children before it starts. Awareness is protection. Community is prevention. #NationalHumanTraffickingPreventionMonth #FillInTheCracks #ProtectAllChildren #RedSandProject #WeArePACT #PreventionStartsWithAwareness

This showed up in my “Year with ChatGPT” recap, and it honestly feels a little too accurate. A passport and a notebook. A camera lens. A Pu’er tea cake. A small jade bridge. Mountains in the background. No people, but a whole story. Slow travel. Long conversations. Paying attention to place. Letting things take the time they’re supposed to take. Learning before explaining. Listening more than talking. The tea cake might be my favorite part, if you know, you know. Nothing rushed. Nothing instant. Just depth that comes from time and care. I like that the bridge is small. Real bridges usually are. They’re built piece by piece, and they exist to be crossed in both directions. Felt worth sharing.

Not perfect, and that’s what makes it compelling. Created with AI but rooted in something real, real places, real culture, real landscapes, this video feels less like a polished fantasy and more like an imaginative reinterpretation of reality. The texture and imperfections spark curiosity rather than certainty. Thank you to Go Yunnan - The Yunnan Culture and Tourism Bureau - for sharing this imagination-sparking piece and for continuing to explore creative ways to present Yunnan to the world. #Yunnan #CreativeTourism #CulturalImagination #DigitalArt #TravelInspiration #SustainableTourism #SeeYunnan #InnovationMeetsTradition

Here’s a fun surprise from my coursework with Travel Institute. When the lesson introduced “Asia,” the background image they chose to represent the entire continent was none other than Black Dragon Pool in Lijiang with Jade Dragon Snow Mountain rising behind it. This iconic view is right in our own backyard here in Yunnan, and it’s one of the places we love sharing with travelers. Seeing it featured in national training materials is a great reminder of how special, culturally rich, and naturally stunning this region is. If you’ve ever wanted to experience the heart of Southwest China, this is the kind of scenery, heritage, and immersive local connection that Harmony Bridge Travel is all about. Asia is huge, but this corner of it is truly unforgettable. 🌿✨

🌊 Yunnan’s Water-Splashing Festival 🗓️April 13–15, 2026 📍 Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna, Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. If you want to experience one of Yunnan’s most lively cultural celebrations, this is the perfect moment. The Dai people welcome their New Year with parades, music, dancing, and the famous water-splashing that represents fresh beginnings and good wishes. The festival shows the warmth and community spirit at the heart of Dai culture, shaped by life along the Lancang River and long traditions of hospitality. It is bright, joyful, and incredibly fun to experience in person. There is still time to plan a trip. You can pair the festival with tropical markets, tea villages, and gentle rainforest walks that reveal the beauty of southern Yunnan. If this Go Yunnan cartoon makes you curious, this celebration is even better in real life. I can help you shape a meaningful, well-paced visit. #China #yunnan #YunnanAManySplendoredLife #xishuangbanna #jinghong #spring #Spring2026 #springvibes #traditional #culture #festival #watersplash #songkran

NTA Travel Exchange ’25 in Ottawa was full of great conversations, new friendships, and plenty of moments that reminded me why I love this industry. My Tecovas boots and cowboy hat paired surprisingly well with my traditional Chinese jacket (中式上衣). The Texas–Yunnan contrast turned into an instant conversation starter, and it opened the door to share the story behind Harmony Bridge Travel and the incredible people I get to work with across both of my homes. Travel is at its best when it brings people together, and this week was a reminder of how many good people are working to make tourism meaningful, sustainable, and culturally rich. Grateful for everyone I met, and excited for the collaborations ahead.

I just completed my certification with Tourism Child-Protection Code of Conduct & ECPAT International, focused on protecting children in travel and tourism. It feels good to check this first box, but this is only the beginning. One down. Now it is time to bring the rest of our team and partners along so that everyone in our supply chain meets the same commitment to safety and responsibility. Travel should uplift communities, protect the vulnerable, and reflect the best of who we are. Excited to work with Tourism Child-Protection Code of Conduct and our local partners here in Yunnan as we continue strengthening responsible practices. #TheCode #ECPAT #ChildProtection #SustainableTourism #HarmonyBridgeTravel
